John Russell

John Russell serves as Vice President and CIO for Northrop Grumman, a technology company focused on global security and human discovery. He took the role in 2020 after over three years as a director and senior director, leading solution and infrastructure architecture and engineering at the company. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Russell spent four years at Leidos in roles including Chief Engineer and Solution Portfolio Manager.

Russell spearheads Northrop Grumman's IT strategy, overseeing cybersecurity, investment, and the advancement of next-gen IT platforms. This includes managing human capital, customer relations, mobile apps, and digital engineering. His team concentrates on cutting-edge collaboration systems, business apps, and data management to facilitate the delivery of digitally transformative technology solutions, including AI, at Northrop Grumman.
