Background

Cheryl Ainoa initially joined Walmart as SVP New Businesses and Emerging Tech in 2020, assuming the role of CTO, Sam's Club in 2023. Before her tenure at Walmart, Cheryl served as the COO of D2L and held SVP roles at Intuit and Yahoo!

Ainoa has a proven track record of success, demonstrating expertise in building innovative products and enhancing customer experiences in her previous roles. During her time as SVP of Product Development at Intuit, she led the company through a cloud transformation, transitioning it into a mobile-first organization. In January 2024, Walmart, in collaboration with Microsoft, unveiled an AI shopping assistant to provide customers with personalized product recommendations.
