Background
Brett Craig began his career at Target in 2008 and has held multiple leadership roles across tech, merchandising and digital functions. He was appointed CIO in 2022 and guides the technology roadmap and management of Target’s enterprise technology systems in service of both guest and team member experience.
For years Target has been applying AI technology to drive productivity across its business, including supply chain and inventory management. The company is using AI tools to enhance the shopping experience through personalized recommendations across its online store, Target Circle loyalty program, and with product placement powered by Roundel, Target’s media company which leverages first-party data from 165M customers. Craig’s teams are now experimenting with potential customer-facing uses cases for generative AI, as well as to support Target team members.
